FRUKT is hiring: Creative Planner

At FRUKT we like to recruit characters. We have a phrase we come back to time and again – ‘offbeat, upbeat and on it’. This is a lively company, with drive and energy, that doesn’t like automatons.

The candidate should be brimming with ideas and anxious to make a difference. For someone with boundless ambition and creative dynamism,, this position is a golden opportunity. For someone fond of rigid structure and painfully formal reporting, it isn’t.

The role does not fit neatly into the familiar marketing service category. Hence the hybrid nature of the title, ‘creative planner’. Firstly, it requires someone who is creative (but not necessarily someone who has been ‘a creative’ in the traditional agency sense). Central to the role is coming up with exceptional ideas. Period. Ideas that have music at their heart, but that are big, bold and beautiful enough to stretch across multiple channels. So the person must be able to show that they have generated unique and successful ideas. They may have done this in any kind of agency, but it would be nice if they had a diverse background and had seen the marketing world from various angles.

The second key element of the role is ‘planning’. FRUKT is a small company and roles and task are not fiercely stratified. There is no handing over the insight job to a department elsewhere in the building and crossing your fingers. The candidate should understand the brand world intimately. They should know how to find and use fascinating, distinct consumer insights. And they should be able to use these to fuel their creative thinking.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years agency side experience
  • Experience of channel planning, idea generation and platform development beneficial

The person must also:

  • love presenting and do it with flair
  • be hungry for the new
  • enjoy bringing on young talent
  • be capable of recognising someone else’s good idea
  • be happy guiding other team members toward a good idea
  • have a doggedly questioning nature

This is a brilliantly diverse and influential role for someone who is unconcerned that they do not fit a neat mould and is totally committed to bloody good ideas.
