High-Street Musical

US retailer Sears and MTV have nabbed the producers of High School Musical in an attempt to brand the next Tween musical as a feature-length clothing ad. The American Mall was filmed at a Sears store, with actors in Sears clothing. The cast will appear in Sears ad campaigns and the retailer will also sell the soundtrack. They’ll be no ‘breaking free’ of this.
