Mike Skinner brings us the credit crunch-optimised version of tour merchandise. UK independent music merchandiser Firebrand is going on the road with The Streets and will let fans (in the spirit of the band’s new Everything Is Borrowed album) have the band’s cigarette lighter logo stamped onto their clothing (whether it’s an Atomic Kitten T-shirt or a dustman’s vest). It costs £5 and heralds in a new musical ‘thrift’ culture.
